help when you need it most.

Dr. Pitts is a therapeutically trained optometrist. This means she is able to diagnose and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, etc. We do not do any surgeries in office but co-manage pre and post operative care with a group of trusted and experienced surgeons in various specialties. We offer convenient and thorough follow up care for our patients in office. This provides you with more continuity of care and also keeps you from spending extra time in the waiting room at a surgery center.

Think you have ‘pink eye’ or something stuck in your eye that you just can’t get out? Did your kid accidentally scratch your eye? Were you doing a DIY project in your garage and something flew in your eye?

Trying to decide if you should go to the emergency room, urgent care, or your primary care physician for an eye related problem? Many times you will have a long wait, an even bigger bill, and their facilities are not always equipped with tools to see the intricate structures of the eye. We are equipped to handle most all ocular emergencies. If for some reason you do need to be referred out, we can get you to the proper specialist faster.

Same day appointments available. If you call our office after hours, follow the prompts to leave a message for the doctor. Someone will return your call shortly.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, call our office IMMEDIATELY:

– sudden onset of increased floaters
– flashes of light that occur when not changing positions (sitting or standing quickly)
– sudden onset blurred, double, or distorted vision
– a dark curtain or veil seems to come over your vision from any direction
If you think something is wrong, don’t wait! In the eye, time is vision.
